YU JING

Inktober is an ink drawing challenge created by Jake Parker in 2009. It is a personal challenge to constantly improve and refine our illustration skills, given a list of prompts to help us throughout the month. One drawing is posted per day, inspired by the prompts given. This year’s prompt was much more challenging than the last. It was also the first inktober that I’ve finished from end-to-end. The process is very interesting, I focused on finer details at the beginning of the month, and moved on to trying out using calligraphy brush to give that more organic look towards the end.
